A lawer (Michel Douglas) from New York has an affair with editor Alex (Glenn Close). It’s all started When They are thrown together due to a business crisis, and when they go out for drinks, something develops between the two. What he wanted to be a one night stand become something else and things gets out of his hands. Alex becomes clingy, first attempting suicide and then stalking him. When it comes to getting him for herself, it appears she will stop at nothing.
